Upcott Squire Devon Holidays is a collection of three well-appointed cottages, a quiet rural retreat in the glorious North Devon Countryside. All the cottages have WiFi connections.
Upcott Squire is centrally placed in the South West of England, within easy reach of beautiful beaches, fun holiday activities and attractions and, of course, the ancient majestic beauty of the three great moors - Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor, and Exmoor.
A holiday cottage in the country, can mean anything in a holiday brochure and comes up with different things to many holiday agents. Rural to them means from the edge of town to a village house but does not even touch, what the real country holiday visit means. Two of our cottages are dog-friendly.
OUR SERVICES
Welcome Basket
All guests receive a welcome basket of delicious Devon goodies on their arrival.
Garden
You can wonder about the 24 acres of pasture, woods and ponds. In the orchard, gardens and fields, you do get nettles, docks, rushes and thistles competing with the grass, there are no sprays used at Upcott Squire.
The trees have ivy on them and there are copious amounts of lichen growing on the ground, trees, stones and rocks. The river and ponds have dragonflies and kingfishers, flying up and down. The woods behind are carpeted with bluebells in early season.
One of our visitors identified 34 different species of birds in and around the farm. Others were excited about the extensive and beautiful walks.

Visit Exmoor
Exmoor is recognised as one of the best and most challenging off-road cycling destinations in the UK. The combination of a beautiful and varied landscape and an excellent network of bridleways, lanes, and other permitted tracks provide ample opportunity for cyclists to enjoy some fantastic rides.
Explore The Wildlife
Upcott Squire is a haven for wildlife, from the cheeky squirrels daring to encroach on domestic territory, to the big stag, imposing himself on all around. Late at night badgers forage the fields and garden, trying to pounce on the elusive mole, who must invariably get away, because the mole hills never seem to diminish.
The mink cling to the stream and riverbanks, while the foxes meander.
