Reverend Godfrey Anderson

 - the last vicar in Witherleigh.

Witherleigh is a small Devon village set on the fringes of Exmoor. But quiet places hold deadly secrets.
Reverend Anderson has secrets of his own as well as many interests, his main one being the wellbeing of the female members of his congregation.

‘Are you alright?’ Richard queried.
‘Yes, yes, I just need to go and lie down for a bit. I had parish duties to perform last night and they took longer than I expected to complete.’
Richard nodded. ‘If you ever need any help just let me know. I have had some experience with these matters in London.’
Reverend Anderson’s face flushed and metamorphosed into a frown. ‘I’m sure you have, Richard. However, I am fully capable of catering to the needs of my parishioners’. Now, lock up when you have finished. I need to go and lie down.’
The Reverend turned and cut across the graveyard, shaking his head.

With the arrival of Richard Radcliffe, the Reverend is forced to fight against a centuries old conspiracy involving ancient farming families, witchcraft, and demonry.

Review -

'The story itself is first class - PJ Reed has a fantastic ability to craft characters, no matter their history; from the old man Snowy, to Chef Sheng and the main protagonist Richard, each character is intricately created. Each chapter ending demands you to read further, and it is such a difficult book to put down. The ending is exciting, and would suit a sequel well should the author choose to do so. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and cannot wait to see what Reed releases next. 5*.‘ by DM.
